Overview

To be successful in this role, you will need to live in or near Herndon, VA.

ePlus is seeking a Senior Security Solutions Architect with strong presales experience and a deep cybersecurity mindset. This individual will guide clients in enhancing their security posture by designing secure IT architectures, applying best practices, and providing strategic security insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and help clients make informed decisions to improve their security infrastructure.

YOUR IMPACT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead discussions with clients on improving their security posture, guiding them in the design and implementation of secure IT architectures.
  • Apply security frameworks to help clients develop and support technology decisions that strengthen their cybersecurity.
  • Provide strategic points of view on security solutions and competitive technologies, both to clients and internal teams.
  • Drive the gathering of security requirements, use case identification, and evaluate proof-of-concept or pilot projects with customers and security partners.
  • Collaborate with other architect teams within ePlus to ensure security is embedded across all solutions.
  • Stay current with evolving security technologies and recommend solutions that improve risk mitigation and business value.
  • Leverage the ePlus portfolio of security products and services to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.
  • Design solutions for multi-vendor security environments, ensuring compatibility and alignment with client needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical pre-sales engineering experience, with a focus on cybersecurity architecture and design.
  • Hands-on experience with network, cloud, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Expertise in security technologies such as vulnerability management, advanced threat detection, SIEM, identity management, and data governance.
  • Experience in integrating multi-vendor security products into cohesive solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, GDPR) and security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
  • Basic programming and automation skills (e.g., Python, Ansible) are a plus.
  • Preferred: Advanced cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIH, CCNP Security) and vendor certifications.

POSITION SPECIFICS

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $170,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
