Job Announcement

Answers the phones and regularly checks-in clients and notifies the probation officers. Responds to voicemail messages in a timely manner. Greets the public in a courteous, helpful and professional manner. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of regulations, policies, and procedures in the area of assigned responsibility. Appropriately assists and/or refers general public, clients, staff, and volunteers/interns to resources or locations. Conveys information clearly and accurately through oral and written communications. Maintains confidentiality and appropriate documentation related to customer and/or colleague's issues.


This position performs in the assigned functional areas of general administrative support and court support services.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to high school graduation and one year of experience providing administrative support in the assigned functional area(s).

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to the position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one year of work experience providing general administrative support is preferred.
  • Must have experience answering multiple phone lines and assisting the public, including front-desk experience.
  • Experience performing data entry.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software, especially Word and Excel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Job is generally sedentary in nature, however, visual acuity is required to read data on computer monitor, incumbent must be able to operate keyboard-driven equipment. Must communicate with others. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Panel interview and may include a practical exercise.
