Stout's Valuation Advisory professionals help clients gain confidence by bringing clarity to the most complex valuation matters. As one of the largest independent valuation practices in the country, we provide specialized experience across a broad spectrum of industries.

We are looking for a Valuation Analyst in our Boca Raton, Florida office. This position will primarily assist in performing complex compensation valuations of physician compensation arrangements as well as analyses related to our other compensation & services arrangements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide general analytical assistance on various valuation projects including but not limited to on-call coverage arrangements, medical directorship arrangements, physician professional services arrangements, collections guarantees and employment arrangements.
  • Assist in the gathering, organizing, summarizing, and analyzing of financial and operational data from healthcare entities.
  • Draft reports and opinions in a concise and meaningful manner, including correct spelling and grammar, with particular attention to describing and summarizing project objectives, methodologies, analyses, and conclusions.
  • Ability to recognize and analyze problems regarding agreements.
  • Track and have a good command of project types and procedures, meet budgets and timelines for projects, and oversee day-to-day flow of multiple projects.
  • Communicate and work cooperatively with colleagues.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited university or an associate's degree with applicable experience.
  • Degree in business, healthcare administration, or Juris Doctor is preferred.
  • Experience in hospital/healthcare operations, and/or law, healthcare, quality, risk management, or finance/accounting preferred (includes any internship and/or research assistant experience while in school).
  • Basic knowledge of the concept of fair market value.
  • Prior consulting experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with customer service orientation.
  • Ability to read and understand complex contracts.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills, including proper grammar and ability to write employee communication materials (position will be responsible for drafting lengthy valuation reports).
  • Impeccable attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, strong organizational skills, deadline oriented.
  • Knowledge and experience working or volunteering in a healthcare environment is a plus (not required).
  • Familiarity with federal regulations pertaining to physician compensation, including Stark and Anti-Kickback legislation is a plus (not required).
  • Audit and compliance-oriented experience.

The range for this role considers several factors including but not limited to prior work and industry experience, education level, and unique skills. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
