Springboot Java Developer

Peraton is seeking a Springboot Java Developer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Location: Hybrid - On-site in Columbia, MD, 4 times per month

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of multiple applications within a large-scale Federal IT program.
• Build robust Java/Spring-based REST APIs integrated with a modern Web 2.0 framework.
• Work in a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environment to ensure seamless delivery.
• Develop Java/Spring solutions and provide leadership to software development teams.
• Conduct detailed design reviews to ensure quality and alignment with program goals.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years' experience or Associate's degree and 4 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 6 years experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must have an active Secret clearance.
• Hands-on Java/Spring development experience.
• Proven experience developing enterprise solutions using the Java Spring framework.
• Strong understanding of database schema design and SQL.
• Solid background in Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Experience using Java development tools such as Eclipse, JUnit, and Git.
• Experience leading development teams within a large-scale Federal IT program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional experience in a large-scale Federal IT program.
• Advanced expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies.
