Application Window Open date: January 17, 2025 Next review date: Monday, Feb 17, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Jul 17, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Description: Ocular The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco, seeks to recruit an outstanding candidate at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level for the Division of Medical Physics capable of providing independent clinical coverage for the Ocular service at UC Davis. The clinical responsibilities include overseeing the patient simulation, treatment planning, machine QA, and treatment delivery. Besides the ocular service, the physicist is also expected to perform duties at other UCSF locations. The duties include new clinical programs, machine acceptance testing and commissioning, treatment planning support, quality improvement projects, and chart checking. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the educational, research, and clinical programs the Department of Radiation Oncology at UCSF has to offer. The Division of Medical Physics includes nineteen full-time faculty physicists involved in both academic and clinical activities, seven hospital physicists who provide support for clinical activities, and additional dosimetry and support staff. The Physics Division runs a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency program with four residents and hosts an increasing number of postdocs and graduate students. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700-$393,200.
