Business/Financial/Data Analyst Intern - Summer 2025

OUC - The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the Customer Experience & Sales.

We are looking for a Business/Financial/Data Analyst Intern - Summer 2025. During the internship, you will participate in efforts to strengthen internal controls surrounding utility billing and perform data analytics that support internal controls for the Billing department within OUC. Functions and responsibilities will include developing queries, reports, and dashboards (using Power BI) that present internal controls and audit information in an actionable format for leadership and staff.

Internship Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a degree seeking program.
  Academic status of Junior.
• Program of study: Data Analytics, Accounting, Analytics, Auditing, Statistics
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule between May 19, 2025 through August 15, 2025

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Intermediate to advance proficiency of Excel
• Beginner to intermediate level of SQL
• Beginner level of PowerBI
• Ability to communicate well both in written and oral formats
• Ability to be organized and detail-oriented

The Billing Quality Assurance team is responsible for maintaining quality standards for OUC's billing; performing pro-active audits of billing services; rate design within our CIS system; specialty billing of OUC's largest customers, revenue assurance, and lighting contract services; and testing for billing related functionality and projects. This team also supports and participates in the development and maintenance of utility billing policies and operating processes.

Compensation: $13.75-$18.00 per hour, varies depending the education level

Schedule: Full-Time (up to 40 hours per week) - Hybrid
