Interns can expect to gain valuable hands-on experience within their department while building partnerships with teams and fellow interns along the way!

  • Location: Portland, OR

  • Duration: ~10 weeks

  • Start Date Options: May 19th- July 25th or June 23rd - August 29th

  • Application Deadline: January 26th, 2025

  • Pay: $22.50/hr

ABOUT THE POSITION

The People Analytics Intern will be part of the People Analytics team, responsible for assisting in data analysis, reporting, and providing insights to support and influence HR initiatives and business decisions.

The People Analytics Intern will be part of the People Analytics team, working with people data to solve organizational challenges. This position is responsible for developing solutions, reports/dashboards, and analysis that delivers workforce insights to enable strategic human capital decisions. This internship offers hands-on experience and exposure to various HR functions.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:Assist with data analysis tasks, including cleaning, manipulating, and interpreting data for ad-hoc requests and projects. Conduct statistical analyses (e.g., correlation, regression, factor analysis, T-test, ANOVA) using R.

  • Data Visualization:Develop data visualizations using PowerBI to clearly convey key insights to a non-technical audience.

  • Research and Communication:Design and implement new data studies. Write research briefs and communicate findings to influence business leaders.

  • Problem-Solving:Tackle complex data problems and document the approach taken to solve them.

  • Business Context Understanding: Participate in stakeholder meetings to understand how data influences decision-making.

  • Internal Consulting:Serve as an internal consultant to lead end-to-end projects with HR business partners, from data gathering to action planning.

  • Promote Data-Driven Culture:Foster a data-driven mindset and culture through partnerships within Human Resources.

  • Collaborator: Help grow the People Analytics team with fresh ideas, approaches, and actions.

YOU ARE

  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, SQL, Python, R).

  • Experienced in the use of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

  • A strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to operate with some independence and follow general guidelines.

  • A partner who can build working relationships across the organization to support HR initiatives.

YOU HAVE

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.7 from an accredited college or university.

  • Consistent progress toward completion of a bachelors or masters degree in Data Science, business analytics, data analytics, organizational psychology, economics or other related field.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Current student with one of the following academic standings: Rising Senior, Senior, Graduate/ MBA student

  • Degree relevant to the internship you are applying for

  • Must be able to participate in 10-week program for either date option provided above

  • Must be able to work onsite at our headquarter location for the duration of the internship- interns will partner directly with their managers regarding expectations to work collaboratively in office specified days of the week

NON-LOCAL CANDIDATE CONSIDERATIONS

  • Relocation assistance & housing is NOT provided- these costs and arrangements would be the responsibility of the intern for the entirety of the program
