The Cash Manager, North America will contribute to the company's success by ensuring an efficient banking structure to support Tenneco's global operations and by supporting the Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer and Treasury team on operational and strategic projects. This includes assisting with the development and implementation of cash management / banking solutions for all business segments of the company, performing the daily cash management function and supporting the cash forecasting process.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Monitoring and managing the company's cash position, including inter-company transfers and ensuring that cash requirements are accurately and timely forecasted and funded.
  • Manages group wide liquidity via credit facility drawdowns based on daily cash-pooling and short term cash forecast.
  • Maintaining bank accounts, debt and interest schedules.
  • Assisting in developing and overseeing daily and monthly cash flow forecasting. Coordinate with various departments (Shared Services, FP&A..) to understand and forecast cash needs
  • Analyzing monthly bank fees and identifying cost saving opportunities.
  • Assisting in the administration of bank accounts including the opening, closing, and modifying accounts as needed.
  • Monitoring letters of credit and related collateral accounts.
  • Researching and resolving bank transactions and accounting discrepancies in a timely matter.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures in relation to cash management.
  • Contacting cash management and credit banks directly to clarify adjustments or to clarify discrepancies on the bank statements.
  • Creating monthly and quarterly reports for senior management.
  • Reviewing and documenting SOC 1 and 2 reports received from third party service providers.
  • Providing support for special projects (bank consolidation, M&A) and ad hoc analysis.
  • Assisting with leases, standby letters of credit and bank guarantee requirements.
  • Maintaining the Treasury document database in SharePoint.



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree preferably in finance, accounting, business or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of Treasury/Banking operations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint skills
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • GL accounting background a plus
  • Exposure to Treasury Management Systems (i.e. Kyriba, Treasura, etc)
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Accreditation a plus
