We are currently seeking a Security Specialist II (COMSEC) to support our customer in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience.

Duties:



  • Assist the CAM and ACAM with routine administrative account matters
  • Execute routine administrative duties and assist CAM/ACAM with file maintenance
  • Sign receipt, inventory, and destruction reports as a witness
  • Assist personnel in maintaining TPI when delivering, picking up and processing COMSEC materiel
  • Sighting all material inventoried or to be destroyed when witnessing an inventory or destruction of COMSEC material
  • Assists with monthly COMSEC inspections
  • Order supplies on a quarterly basis for the COMSEC office
  • Assist with opening of COMSEC equipment and ensuring its designated for the correct local element
  • File control of old records that are no longer needed and make sure they are destroyed in a timely manner
  • Designated as the fire warden for the COMSEC office
  • Perform quarterly self-assessments
  • Generate and control +/- 70 access lists for the Commanding Officer
  • Verify clearances in DISS on a weekly basis
  • Generate and control appointment letters for our local elements
  • Work through the receiving processes of incoming gear from other COMSEC accounts
  • Send receipt of the gear back to the shipping account
  • Pack ad prep shipments in accordance with MILSTRAP/CMS 1A standards


Desired Education:



  • BS or BA degree is desired; ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An AA or AA degree and additional four (4) years of experience; OR an additional (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree


Desired Experience:



  • Applicants must have (4) years of experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of security instructions, regulations, and procedures.
  • Applicants must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position's duties.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and the process for granting personnel security clearances/accesses.
  • Must possess knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel related to the protection of SCI.
  • Specialist should have knowledge of the methods of performing such duties as conducting inspections and investigations, collecting and analyzing information, etc., and skill in weighing the impact of variables such as critical personnel qualifications, access and entry restrictions, equipment availability, and other issues that influence the course of actions taken in resolving security questions and issues.


Must be able to obtain and maintain an initial Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $44,054.40-$115,625.33 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
