Overview

Blue Yonder is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking professional on the company's global events team to assist with event strategy and execution. This includes global digital and in-person events, regional or micro-events, customer user conferences, executive forums, sales club, sales kick-offs, and more. This events manager will work with the global events team to execute the on-going advancement of the people, processes, tools and suppliers to support and deliver events, as well as work with Blue Yonder leaders to translate strategic initiatives into live in-person and digital events to achieve stated objectives.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand objectives, develop event concepts and create detailed event plans.
  • Oversee event logistics, including vendor setup, schedules and staffing.
  • Manage workstreams with various marketing team members and vendors.
  • Assist in defining event goals and specific criteria for where and when Blue Yonder hosts proprietary events in order to drive business impact.
  • Develop project management timelines.
  • Assist in overall project management for regular workstream meetings, internal/external communications, vendor selection, event logistics + production, AV, general session, breakouts, keynote speaker management, entertainment, housing, registration, sponsorships + expo hall, food and beverage, security, virtual event, mobile app, tech stack management, staffing, etc
  • Analyze event data + report on business impact.
  • Solicit, recommend and manage relationships with the right external vendors to help bring Blue Yonder's vision to life.
  • Responsible for collaborating and proactively communicating with project stakeholders, internal and external partners to define event program objectives, requirements, scope, timing, and budgets.
  • Research best practices and understands Blue Yonder's company culture and values to choose appropriate mediums to effectively communicate intended information, engage associates and achieve goals.
  • Apply creativity in event planning, promotions and execution to deliver memorable, value-driven events.
  • Remain cool under pressure, agile while juggling multiple projects simultaneously and deliver world-class customer service
  • Communicate clearly and with confidence
  • Understand and embrace industry best practices, regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Bring a creative, action-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high performance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Event Manager or Global Events Director.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree; CMP, CTSM certification(s) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in global event strategy and management, with a proven track record of successfully delivery large-scale events.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading, managing and coordinating content developers, designers, creative services, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in event management software platforms and tools (e.g., Rainfocus, Wrike, or similar).
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft applications and comfortable learning new software and technology as needed.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required.

The base salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $100,000 USD

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
