JOB SUMMARY:

As an Associate in the Strategy & Corporate Development group at Lewis Services, you will work closely with our leadership team to develop, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives that drive our company's growth and success. Leveraging your experience in corporate finance or strategic planning, you will contribute to the development of long-term strategies, perform in-depth market research, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of strategic projects, including M&A and other investment activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:



  • Business Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend assessments to identify opportunities and threats. Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making in all growth areas of the company.
  • Project Management: Lead and support cross-functional teams in the execution of strategic projects, including M&A and other investments. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while monitoring progress and mitigating risks. Assess strategic growth initiatives and assist in planning and developing objectives, supporting the organizations long term planning and decision-making processes.


  • Financial Modeling / Analysis: Develop complex financial models to analyze potential M&A opportunities, including forecasting financial statements, performing valuation analyses, and assessing the impact of various scenarios on deal outcomes. Gather, analyze, and interpret data to inform the organizations strategic direction and evaluate potential impact. Track and monitor KPIs related to strategic objectives. Develop comprehensive reports outlining findings and recommendations from data analyses.


  • Valuation Analysis: Assist in the valuation of target companies through various methods such as discounted cash flow (DCF), and, where appropriate, comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transactions analysis (PTA). Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to market trends, customer preferences, competitive activities, and the organization's internal capabilities.


  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate strategic plans, progress, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding. Prepare clear, concise, and impactful presentations for senior leadership and key stakeholders. Recommend enhancements to the strategic planning process and methodologies based on feedback and observed outcomes.


  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry's best practices and emerging trends in strategic planning. Recommend process improvements and strategic adjustments as needed.


  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field. Masters degree preferred.


  • 2-3 years of proven experience in business analytics, financial analysis or data structuring.


  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.


  • Excellence in financial analysis and modeling, with a deep understanding of Excel and financial software.


  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.


  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.


TECHNOLOGY, EQUIPMENT & TOOLS:



  • Proficient with standard office equipment i.e., computers, phones, scanner, fax, and copier.


  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

The position may requires travel including overnights by ground and/or air transportation.

COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $90,000

Lewis Services regularly evaluates our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. Starting pay will be based on a candidate's experience, skills and education.
