Position Summary
We are seeking a talented marketing leader with experience in leading commercial product launches and executing market development strategies to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing go-to-market strategies for new products, performing comprehensive market analyses for new business opportunities, leading market research initiatives and summarizing customer insights from across the organization. You will work collaboratively with other departments including Product Development, User Experience, Customer Service, Medical Affairs, and Sales to establish a company-wide strategy for gathering, assessing, and developing action plans based upon customer insights related to Karius' products and user experience platforms. You will be an integral part of understanding our customer, including having a clear understanding of the competitive landscape and potential future product innovations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for translating market intelligence into actionable business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
* Work with key stakeholders to develop and execute on a market research plan to support expansion of Karius products and development of new products or services.
* Partner cross-functionally across Product, Commercial, and Engineering to develop and execute a comprehensive market research plan supporting new product launches and market expansions. * Delivering high quality and relevant insights to a variety of stakeholders to inform product development and commercialization.
* Serve as commercial lead for new product launches, leading the development of go-to-market strategies, soft launches, pilot programs and customer insight gathering.
* Work with commercial and company leaders to identify KPIs for launch success; assess and communicate progress pre- and post-launch.
* Develop initial commercial materials and sales enablement resources for new products.
* Design and implement market research and intelligence initiatives to inform clinical evidence development and market access (i.e., payer strategy and engagement) for expansion into new markets, including outpatient.
* Collaborate with General Manager of Outpatient Strategy to conduct customer interviews, summarize feedback, and develop strategic plan to maximize Karius' opportunity in the outpatient setting.
* Develop and drive GTM strategy and execution, including messaging, positioning, targeting, sales messaging and collateral medical support, etc.
* Leverage market knowledge, primary and secondary data, and KPIs to develop short-term and long-term forecasts, commercial opportunity assessments, and uncertainty analyses. Develop robust market model projections and scenarios in collaboration with business partners.
* Develop and own Bottom-up and Top-down market analyses and forecasting models.
* Collaborate with the Director of Product Marketing and the Product Development team to design and implement market research initiatives (including ATUs, customer interviews, etc.) to assess customer feedback, industry trends and competitive intelligence for Karius' in-market product(s).
* Manage market research studies, including budget, project objective, design, vendor selection and oversight, monitoring of data collection, data analysis, and interpretation.
* Manage and analyze competitive environment, sales records, market penetration, market potential and future trends.
* Develop relevant and compelling presentation of market research insights and competitive landscape overview for key stakeholders, including Commercial Leadership and Leadership Team. Creating a cross-functional working group comprised of marketing, product development, user experience, medical affairs, and customer service representatives to establish organizational priorities and strategy related to capturing customer insights.
* Streamline, organize, and centralize the process for capturing customer insights across Karius to enhance the organization's ability to share and leverage these insights across teams.
* Create centralized and organized customer insights repository with previous customer and market research.
* Establish a process for providing a quarterly update on customer insights from across the organization to be presented to key stakeholders and the Leadership Team.
Travel: Travel required up to 10%
Physical Requirements
Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is generally performed in an office, lab or clinical environment.
Position Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.
* A minimum of 10 years of relevant related experience with 5+ years of work experience required in Sales, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Competitive Intelligence, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting.
* Proven track record of translating market insights into successful business strategies.
* Strong expertise in market research tools, data visualization platforms and CRM systems.
* Experience developing go to market strategies for new product launches including analysis of market opportunities, development of product positioning & messaging, creation of product resources & collateral, gathering of customer insights, and project management of operational logistics.
* Expertise in conducting competitive analyses and generating actionable recommendations.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data to diverse audiences.
* Leadership experience managing employees and a proven ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and cross collaboratively.
