Job Summary: The Senior Manager, Enterprise Quality Engineering is responsible for leading and mentoring an Enterprise Quality Engineering team and driving excellence in quality engineering across the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our Agile teams integrate quality into every facet of the software delivery process. Essential Functions:
- Coach and mentor a team in all aspects of quality engineering, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure the successful implementation of quality engineering practices across all Agile teams
- Oversee the design, development, and execution of comprehensive quality engineering strategies that align with organizational goals and healthcare regulations
- Ensure the effective implementation of test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and quality assurance processes across all delivery
- Drive the adoption of a shift-left approach, integrating quality early in the software development lifecycle
- Regularly interface with Agile team leadership, including Scrum Masters, Agile Team Managers, Agile team directors, Product Owners, System Analysts, and Development Leads, to assess and enhance the integration of quality into the delivery process
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between quality engineering teams and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding of quality goals and metrics
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the Agile teams' quality integration processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices
- Develop and implement metrics and KPIs to measure the success of quality engineering initiatives and drive continuous improvement
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues associated with the delivery of high-quality business value, ensuring proactive resolution and prevention of quality issues
- Ensure the breadth and depth of automation coverage for software components, integration components, and end-to-end integrations
- Oversee the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks, ensuring robust and reliable test coverage
- Promote the use of advanced testing techniques and tools to enhance the effectiveness of test automation
- Conduct deep audits of quality engineering practices, Technical Delivery Leads, and Agile teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Develop and maintain testing protocols that ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including data security and patient privacy
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and incorporate these changes into quality engineering practices
- Lead daily and weekly meetings with direct reports to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement
- Collaborate with Agile team leadership to develop and refine quality engineering strategies and initiatives
- Review and approve test strategies, plans, and automation frameworks developed by direct reports
- Provide detailed feedback and action plans to Technical Delivery Leads and Agile teams based on audit findings
- Attend meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on quality engineering activities, discuss project requirements, and address any concerns
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for Agile teams on quality engineering best practices and methodologies
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, a related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Eight (8) years of experience in quality engineering, with a strong background in the healthcare payor industry
- Minimum of three (3) years of management experience is required
- Extensive experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub)
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, CMS)
- Excellent working knowledge of enterprise application testing
- Strong service orientation and consulting skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management
- Ability to juggle multiple complex priorities within a changing environment
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Strong knowledge of outsourcing and staff augmentation strategies supporting testing processes
- Knowledge of the managed care industry is preferred

Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Occasional travel is required
Compensation Range: $110,800.00 - $193,800.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
