The Sr. Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, infrastructure, and data visualization to support our data-driven decision-making processes. The scope of this job includes collaborating with data scientists, analysts, solutions partners, and other stakeholders to increase data quality, accessibility, and security. Key Responsibilities: Create, develop, maintain, and leverage data pipelines (including ELT pipelines), data models, reporting, and dashboards to solve business problems or assigned tasks in coordination with multiple teams. Develop and maintain data solutions to enable new or existing solutions and BI development for the enterprise driven data warehouse and data visualization solutions. Enhance and document workflows for complex data-related challenges by identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data, and find ways to optimize data processing and storage to promote data quality through automation. Develop understanding of different WellSky solutions and become a subject matter expertise in the healthcare domain. Identify opportunities in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards. Adhere to WellSky core values, ensure PHI data security, and adapt to changing BI technologies. Perform other job duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience At least 4-6 years relevant work experience Experience in SQL/NoSQL and database management systems like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or FireStore Cloud experience with GCP, Azure or AWS and their data services Experience in Data warehouses like BigQuery Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Sisense, Tableau Git experience Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with GCP CI/CD experience with Docker, Terraform Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira Experience in healthcare domain Programming experience with Python or JavaScript Familiarity with Dataform/DBT Job Expectations: Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time WellSky is where independent thinking and collaboration come together to create an authentic culture.
