Under general supervision, the Research Coordinator will work under the direction of the Chair of Radiology in the planning, organizing and coordination of research activities in the Radiology Department.

  • Oversee all clinical research operations of the Radiology Department, including the administration, communication and coordination of the departments research portfolio.
  • Facilitate and maintain required research training for personnel within the department.
  • Work in tandem with Finance and the Associate Director of Research to prepare and submit grant applications and other grants related activity.
  • Develop study budgets and submit to the Director/Principal Investigator for adequate coverage and recommend changes as appropriate.
  • Prepare and oversee the submission of necessary documents required by the Institutional Board (IRB) and internal committee in order to obtain approval to conduct human subjects research.
  • Collaborate with the Chair/PI to perform statistical analyses including preparing forms and reports, compiles and analyses data, and other materials for reports.
  • Review scientific literature, participate in continuing education activities, and attend conferences and seminars to maintain current knowledge of clinical studies affairs
  • As applicable, performs study coordination tasks under the direction of the investigator to ensure overall compliance in the conduct of the study, and adherence to the approved study protocol.
  • Completes study documentation and maintains study files in accordance with sponsor requirements and institution's policies and procedures including, but not limited to, consent forms, source documentation, narrative notes if applicable, case report forms.
  • Maintain effective and ongoing communication with sponsor, research participants and PI during the course of the study.
Qualifications
  • To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 year experience in research and study related activities or related area with demonstrated coordination and facilitation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational, project management, critical and problem-solving skills, with ability to collaborate with others.
  • Experience in Radiology Research and familiarity with AI based tools a plus
  • Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Knowledge of RedCap and/or statistical software (STATA, SAS, SPSS) is a plus.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
