Job Title: Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist

Employment Type: Contract

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated EHS Specialist to join our team. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and improve safety outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication skills to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS programs to comply with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct hazard analyses, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide EHS training to employees, ensuring a strong safety culture across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management and air/water quality standards.
  • Support industrial hygiene initiatives, ergonomics assessments, and machine safety protocols.
  • Manage multiple EHS-related projects and initiatives, meeting deadlines and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an EHS professional, preferably in manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, or similar industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in hazard analysis, OSHA compliance, incident investigation, and corrective action management.
  • Familiarity with industrial hygiene, ergonomics, machine safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement certification preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
  • Experience with EHS management systems and tools.
  • Knowledge of international safety standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
