The Strategic Technology Analysis Group (STAG), part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD) and theater warfighters. Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF). SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified Air-Space Domain Exercise & Integration Lead.



Responsibilities

Primary Duty Responsibilities

    Assist program office with the development and documentation of CONOPS through support, creation, and execution of meaningful test events and exercise scenarios.
  • Oversee (lead) and coordinate exercises with EUCOM, INDOPACOM, ACC, AFGSC, AFSPC, USSPACECOM, USAFWS, USAFWC and other operator stakeholders.
  • Oversee (lead) integration of TPSE mission planning tools into exercise activities.
  • Support execution of all test planning and demonstration activities to support CONOPS development.
  • Participate in regular meetings of Test Planning Working Group (TPWG).
  • Translate exercise outcomes / lessons learned into actionable program information for acquisition and future test activities.
  • Assist Lead SETA with execution of day-to-day tasks on the program as required.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, reports, and summary papers; explain complex concepts in relatively simple language, summarize key decisions, and provide recommendations supported by analysis or exercise events.
  • Often act independently to resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs.
  • Provide objective information, analysis, and recommendations to support decision making on current and future investments for the program.
  • Special projects as directed.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS Security Clearance with SCI and SAP Eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in operational platforms, weapons school graduate, or instructor experience
  • 5+ years program management or operational experience with the DoD or the Intelligence Community with at least 2 years in leadership roles
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills:
    • Demonstrated experience using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers
    • Demonstrated experience compiling and articulating complex technical knowledge into digestible talking points for senior leaders
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to plan, work, and deliver both independently and as part of a diverse team focused on delivering novel capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and manage developers/engineers across disciplines to implement customer and system requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience within DoD operational communities
  • Demonstrated experience with Non-Kinetic Effects (NKE) operations in large force exercises and readying operators for real-world operations
