POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Environmental department. Environmental: The branch of mechanics that deals with changes in the environment, including temperature, pressure and humidity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
* Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
* Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
* Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
* Other - Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* Under close supervision, able to complete basic technical and mechanical procedures
* Some interaction with clients
* Able to assist with basic troubleshooting and basic interpretation and analysis of test results
* Basic knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; basic knowledge of refrigeration/thermal systems
* Basic mechanical skills; basic MS Office skills; able to understand AC/DC circuits

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred
* Testing experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.

* General office or test lab environment with exposure to sudden, loud noises

* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

* Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
