This role is part of our Platform Engineering Team within the Technology organization and reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The Cloud Engineering Manager will lead a team focused on cloud governance, security, and operations, ensuring efficient, compliant, and secure use of cloud technologies across the organization. The role will require close collaboration with the Security, Enterprise Architecture, Product Engineering, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to design, operate, and govern scalable and secure cloud solutions. Expertise in the Microsoft Azure cloud environment is preferred.

In this role you will:



  • Lead and manage the Cloud Engineering team with a focus on governance, security, and operational excellence in cloud environments.
  • Build a world-class cloud engineering team from the ground up while providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Establish and enforce cloud policies and best practices, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the Security team to implement and maintain robust security frameworks across all cloud platforms.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Product Engineering teams to support cloud-native solution design and operational readiness.
  • Work closely with DevOps and SRE teams to maintain stable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud operations.
  • Implement and manage cloud cost optimization strategies, resource usage, and performance monitoring.
  • Implement and manage tools and processes for logging, monitoring, and incident response to enhance operational resilience within cloud environments.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the CIO and senior leadership on cloud-related strategy and initiatives.

  • Cultivate a high-performing Cloud Engineering team, empowering team members to innovate and excel in their roles.


Contributors to your success:



  • 8+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or IT operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud governance, security standards (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001), and cost management strategies. Experience with Microsoft Azure is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams while fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Security, DevOps, SRE, and architecture teams to deliver cross-functional outcomes.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
