Position Summary Senior Academic Advisors in the College of Education are responsible for promoting the academic success, professional, and overall development of undergraduate and graduate students from their orientation through graduation. Senior Academic Advisors provides guidance on degree requirements and programs; academic and professional planning; University, College, and Campus policies and procedures; course selection and registration; and available resources and opportunities. They also evaluate students' degree progress and eligibility, provide guidance and direction regarding degree requirements and programs, and facilitate academic and professional planning. The Senior Academic Advisor works under the direction of the Associate Dean for Student Success and in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Admissions and Registration. Working in partnership with stakeholders throughout the university community, senior academic advisors are student advocates integral to the student's learning. Duties & Responsibilities
