Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra is looking for a Provider Relations Specialist to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

This position assists in the support of providers, provider contracting, provider workflows, provider education withinf the department to identify, track, negotiate and provide support to the provider network.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for carrying out a variety of the day to day tasks within the department.
  • Manage communication with providers via the network provider phone line and provider relations email.
  • Ensure provider coverage statewide is maintained for our client.
  • Responds to provider queries, monitors key processes, and reports information regularly to the Provider Relations Supervisor
  • Communicates professionally and effectively with our Provider network as the key representative of Acentra Health OCCCS
  • Negotiates market specific items with providers to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensures that all applications of providers are processed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with routine re-credentialing of providers to verify active license and malpractice insurance , as well as state FFS requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education (equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
  • 2 plus years administrative experience (preferably in healthcare or behavioral health);
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High integrity, detail oriented and works with strong work ethic
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience creating and presenting information in person or by webinar
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills-listening, dealing with difficult customers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Field base provider recruitment/relations experience
  • Equity and Diversity Training or Experience
  • Bilingual (any)
  • Network adequacy standards
  • CMS standards
  • Knowledge of CLAS/CLSS standards for providers
  • Experience working with OHA provider network
