EXECUTIVE CHEF
Dining and Retail Services is a self-operated dining venture on campus with an $18 million operating budget. The department has three facilities that provide food services across campus, including Sandburg Hall Café, Cambridge Commons Café, retail offerings in the Student Union including catering unit, Grind coffee locations, convenience stores, and concessions operations. The department includes a dynamic management team and approximately 50 dedicated permanent staff. Our department includes over 300 student employees in all areas of our operations.
Under the general direction of the Director of Dining & Retail Services (DRS), this position will support the University’s mission by leading the department in the creation of excellent customer experience through the delivery of great food in all service areas. To assist in achieving these goals, this position will serve as the culinary expert and visionary for food quality, culinary creativity, menu development, food presentation. This position will serve as the public presence of DRS with responsibility for the management and professional development of the culinary staff within DRS.
