YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE
We are looking for a Sanitation Technician in 2835 N Oak Grove, Springfield, MO 65803 USA. Your mission will be to:
Purpose (Objective):
This position is responsible for providing basic
assistance to the operations of the laboratory washing containers used in the
process of testing.
Main activities:
*Wash containers used in analysis.
*Maintain a safe clean work area around the sink.
*Maintain clean laboratory by discarding waste and cleaning and sanitizing countertops, walls, floors, shelves, equipment, sinks, water baths etc using cleaning solvents.
*Maintain a clean laboratory by properly storing chemicals, reagents and supplies. Maintain adequate stock of these materials.
*Organize laboratory glassware and plastics.
*Decontaminate laboratory materials through the use of the autoclave.
*Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process.
*This position has the responsibility and authority to identify departures from the quality system or test procedures and document such observations in accordance with the prescribed complaint system
*Perform other related duties as needed.
YOUR PROFILE
Profile:
This position
requires the ability to follow specific instructions. Highschool diploma or GED or equivalent work
experience.
Required skills:
The incumbent performs routine tasks that follow
established procedures. The incumbent uses knowledge of the area and the advice
of the supervisor to solve problems. Established guidelines and Standard
Operating Procedures provide information to determine the correct preparation
techniques.
Management:
None
Work Environment:
The incumbent works in a laboratory with proper
lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will
occur when in the laboratory. The incumbent works in a laboratory with
increased temperatures near the autoclave and washer. Safety equipment of gloves, laboratory coat
and eyeglasses may need to be worn. Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds may be necessary. The incumbent can expect extended time spent
in a standing position.
