We are currently seeking a full-time System Engineer for 1st shift at our Ketema facility in El Cajon, CA.
What Does the Job Involve?
The System Engineer position is responsible for administering the information technology operations of the operating site, including Microsoft Entra ID administration, VMWare virtual server administration, Windows PC administration, maintain network hardware and software, and developing/maintaining systems, applications security and network configurations.
What will my responsibilities include?
- Manages and monitors all infrastructure and systems implementations, including configuration, testing and maintenance with a strong focus on information security.
- Creates and implements control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organization's quality and security standards.
- Implements and maintains backup, security and redundancy strategies.
- Administers user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Conducts security audits and assist with the preparation of external security assessments.
- Analyzes system productivity and identify areas of improvement.
- Identifies potential issues and implement solutions proactively.
- Conducts regular risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
- Conducts high-level root-cause analysis of service interruptions and establish preventative measures.
- May represent the organization as a primary contact with internal representatives.
- Educates and trains employees on best practices for information security, data privacy, and incident response.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to address security concerns, implement security standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates incident response activities, investigate security breaches, and provide recommendations for incident mitigation.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
- Stays up-to-date with the latest information security trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement of the organization's security posture.

What Qualifications Should I Have?
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience:
- 2-4 years system engineering experience.
- Microsoft Office 365 administration, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and VMWare vSphere ESXi v6.5 administration experience.
- Familiarity with DoD policy such as NIST 800-171, DFARS 7012, Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53, CMMC and other legal and regulatory guidance.
- Operational experience with installing, troubleshooting, and auditing Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Operational experience with deploying, troubleshooting and auditing Azure Entra and Intune MDM solutions.
- Experience with Azure Identity Management and security policies: RBAC, JIT, PIM, MFA, Conditional Access, SSPR, etc.
