SUMMARY

Performs a variety of duties to ensure the accuracy of goods received into the Receiving Department and computer system. Works from delivery receipts, packing slips, delivery memorandums, manifest, other written/verbal instructions. Communicates information to interested parties through both written and verbal communication.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Verifies accuracy of packing slips, manifests, and delivery receipts against product brought into the company. Verifies all counts and weights are correct.
  • Reports damage and shortages to the Purchasing and Shipping/Receiving departments.
  • Ensures all appropriate documentation is present with shipment at time of delivery.
  • Transacts all delivery receipts into ERP system. Scans all documentation for electronic filing.
  • Prepares and maintains all receiving records.
  • Performs cycle counts and makes appropriate adjustments.
  • Works with Purchasing and Accounting to reconcile all delivery receipts.
  • Collaborates with receiving inspection for flow of goods.
  • Notifies appropriate party of receipt of returned goods (RMA).
  • Receives in Stock Transfer Orders (STO)
  • Transacts product and paperwork to and from outside vendors.
  • Trains Material Handlers on the receiving process.
  • Interacts with all deliver drivers.
  • Assists with Material Handling to move stock.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook, AWAIR and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent specific experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in receiving
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Basic operation of computer system, knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be certified to drive forklifts or pass certification exam during initial probationary period.
  • Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) environment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience with SAP materials management, shipping and receiving functions.
  • Experience in a warehouse and/or factory environment.
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma

  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to executive non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
