ARES is seeking a Multimedia Systems Engineer to provide engineering support for the Network & Telecom Services (NaTS) service line on the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support in system engineering by supporting NASA in both day-to-day and long-term efforts.
  • Provide on-site field support to accomplish engineering, installation, operation, and maintenance of current and future multimedia systems.
  • Review operational system designs and equipment specifications.
  • Assist NaTS in the review of unique engineering design equipment specifications with emphasis on new system implementation issues.
  • Provide individual contributor/technical talent to solve imaging and multimedia infrastructure engineering problems. Audio overlay interconnect from an intercom channel


EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS Degree and 9 years relevant experience in Multimedia Engineering

Minimum Requirements:

  • Past demonstrable experience with complex IT Engineering projects
  • Very experienced with advanced utilization of various Microsoft applications such as Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with Maximo
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with IT-related engineering projects at Kennedy Space Center or other NASA center
