The Group You'll Be A Part Of

The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.

The Impact You'll Make

As a Technical Instructor at Lam, you'll conduct dynamic technical training for customers and employees. You'll craft course content specifications and engaging lesson plans. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you ensure alignment with the latest product features. Through a blend of classroom lectures, online formats, and hands-on laboratory sessions, you'll deliver impactful instruction. Join us in shaping a skilled workforce and advancing innovation at Lam.

What You'll Do
  • Responsible for Managing multiple simultaneous training projects
  • Responsible for developing and delivering Hardware training on Lam's laser Dep Product Line starting during early Product Development phases.
  • Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products
  • Works very closely with cross functional teams - Engineering Group Subject Matter Experts, Customer support engineersto determine applicability of course material.
  • Project manages the course development to ensure timelycompletion of the courses.
  • Course delivery will be conducted both synchronously (live, remote via Telepresence or Teams) & Asynchronously -releasing Web Based Courses. Some Travel maybe required 15-20% mostly Domestic travel to Oregon
  • The target audience is Lam Engineers (both Regional Product Support and Field Service) and customers with varying academic and experience levels
  • Train other instructors after product release
Who We're Looking For

Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience

Leadership

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues
  • Works with cross-functional teams to get information and results needed.

Customer Relations

  • Professionally represents the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge of company's product lines and services to keep existing/ potential customers informed.
  • Drive improvements of existing courses.
  • Must be passionate about teaching!
  • Some Travel maybe required 15-20% mostly Domestic travel to Oregon
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with working in the semiconductor Industry with in-depth knowledge of Lam Tools (Direct Metals Deposition products is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners.
  • Experience in developing and conducting training using ADDIE, or similar process, preferred
  • Experienced with Microsoft Suite, Articulate Storyline, CAD files, Virtual Reality development; 3D printing are all very helpful but not required, we will provide training if needed.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $89,000.00 -$205,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
