Job Description:

Join our dynamic team at the Associated Clinic of Psychology (ACP) as a full-time Credentialing Assistant at our corporate office. With over four decades in the industry, ACP is widely recognized as a leader in addressing mental health concerns in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.

This essential role will work on a team with the Senior Credentialing Specialist in performing administrative tasks for our practitioners' credentialing. The credentialing assistant will organize, maintain, and verify all aspects of the process, and maintain current files on practitioners. They will track the expiration of certifications and assist health plan providers, co-workers, and our practitioners with any inquiries.

Your ability to communicate effectively, make sound decisions, and show initiative is vital to your success in this role. We are looking for individuals who enjoy very detailed work, take ownership of their assignments, and possess a positive and solution-focused mindset.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):



  • Processing initial and re-credentialing applications.
  • Screening practitioners' applications and supporting documentation to ascertain their eligibility.
  • Collecting information from various credentialing data sources, the applicant, and other relevant sources.
  • Identifying discrepancies in information and conducting follow-ups.
  • Assisting practitioners and co-workers with credentialing inquiries.
  • Responding to health plan provider inquiries.
  • Capturing primary source documentation in computer databases.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.


Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of credentialing experience with medical or behavioral health.
  • Knowledge of medical or behavioral health credentialing and privileging procedures and standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Ability to focus for extended periods.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.

Starting Pay: $21 - $24 hourly. Actual compensation may vary as determined by education, experience, and skillset.
