About the Job

Duties - 100%
  • Develop and teach material related to the topic of the course
  • Facilitate course discussion and activities, as appropriate
  • Develop and grade assessments including quizzes, exams and assignments as appropriate
  • Answer questions from students
  • Submit final grades
  • Collaborate with Professional Education Division staff to ensure administrative course components are addressed (e.g. schedule, textbooks, TAs)
Qualifications

Required- Earned Pharm.D.; experience working with professional students.

Preferred- Documented history of successful teaching.

About the Department

The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy is nationally recognized for excellence in preparing pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, occupational therapists, and medical laboratory scientists to tackle society's toughest problems in Minnesota and across the globe. The College of Pharmacy offers degrees in the programs of pharmacy (PharmD, MS, PhD), occupational therapy (OTD), and medical laboratory sciences (BS, Certificate, MMLS, MS-BLS).

The pharmacy program is offered on the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses. The occupational therapy program is offered on the Twin Cities and Rochester campuses. The medical laboratory sciences program is offered on the Twin Cities campus. Interactive technology is used to keep all campuses connected.

The Professional Education Division supports the College of Pharmacy's teaching and learning mission through the coordination of our professional programs, experiential education offerings, and innovative online learning opportunities. We additionally provide services to support student learning and professional development as well as our faculty members' world-class instruction in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice.

The Division is separated into the following units under the leadership of Jeannine Conway, Interim PharmD Program Director:

  • Office of Curriculum Operations
  • Pharmacy Learning Collaborative
  • Office of Experiential Education
  • Pharmaceutical Care Learning Center

These units work together to coordinate and develop different aspects of the Doctor of Pharmacy program as well as the College of Pharmacy's online education, in order to develop world-class leaders in pharmaceutical practice.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: Pay is by per credit basis starting at $750.00 per credit.
