Responsibilities

New opportunity for a Sr. Cost Accountant to join the Bruker Nano Finance Team.

    Ensure accuracy of cost and inventory accounting systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of standard costs, including material, labor, and overhead rates.
  • Responsible for the inventory and warranty reserves.
  • Ensure accuracy of all account reconciliations of inventory accounts.
  • Review and analyze monthly reports for PPV, revaluation, and other miscellaneous COGS transactions.
  • Review and prepare monthly journals relating to COGS and Inventory.
  • Review, analyze, and coordinate the issuance of reports including Monthly Manufacturing Variances.
  • Maintain a robust manufacturing internal control system and overall controls environment.
  • Support and assist Manufacturing Team and Business Unit Controllers across sites on manufacturing transactions, labor rates, and associated costs to ensure they're recorded accurately, timely, and in accordance with policy.
  • Various ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in finance or accounting required. CPA or Master degree a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years accounting, reporting, and management work experience with progressively increasing responsibility; exceptional knowledge of general, cost, technical accounting, and US GAAP required
  • Strong Revenue and GL experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing both internal and external audit engagements.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, computer, analytical, and technical communication, organizational, and presentation skills with fluent written and spoken English.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
  • Strong SAP or other large ERP system experience is highly preferred, BPC knowledge is also preferred.
  • Energetic and self-motivated with strong people management skills and demonstrated success leading an accounting team within a rapidly changing and diverse, multi-national commercial work environment.
  • Initiative-taking, hands-on approach, results orientation, priority setting and high level of professional curiosity.
  • Demonstrated success as a trusted advisor, business partner, leader, and change agent with ability to navigate complex organizational topics to gain agreement and alignment.
  • Diplomatically addresses complex topics, effectively negotiates with internal and external audiences and builds positive working relationships.
  • Possesses leadership competencies, collaboration, teamwork and influencing abilities, effective written and verbal communication, critical thinking skills, plus a drive for results, change and innovation.
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $100,000 and $133,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
