New Graduate & Experienced RN Hiring Event | UNC Hospitals

March 18, 2025 | 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Event Location: NC Botanical Garden (100 Old Mason Farm Rd., Chapel Hill, NC 27517)

UNC Hospitals is now hiring New Graduate and Experienced Registered Nurses!

New graduate RNs: If your graduation date is between August 2024 and August 2025, and you want to join an organization who will support you as you begin your nursing career, this event is for you! Not only will you see what it's like to begin your career at UNC Health, you will also learn more about our Nurse Residency Program.

All attendees will have the opportunity to meet with our Nurse Recruiters and interview with department Hiring Leaders.

*Please note: If you already RSVP'd to the previously scheduled February 20th event, you are encouraged to attend this event (no need to RSVP again).

Positions are available in the following areas:

  • Acute Care Units
  • Hillsborough Campus
  • Psychiatric Services
  • Stepdown Units
  • Surgery Services
  • Youth Behavioral Hospital (Located in Butner, NC)

How do I Participate?

Step 2: You will receive an email confirmation which will contain additional event details.

Step 3: Join us at NC Botanical Garden (100 Old Mason Farm Rd., Chapel Hill, NC 27517) on March 18, 2025, any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

What is defined as a New Graduate Nurse?

  • Nursing student in their final semester of nursing program or;
  • Nursing graduate within 12 months of graduation; and
  • RN who has worked less than 6 months as a registered nurse.

Experienced RN Requirements:

  • Education Requirements: Graduation from a school of professional nursing. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
  • Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
  • Professional Experience Requirements: One (1) year of nursing experience.
