Job Purpose

The Market Data Quality Lead position is representative for leading all activities and initiatives related to obtaining timely and actionable market data quality that is used to resolve customer vehicle problems.

This job contributes to the overall mission and goals of AHM by directly supporting Business Unit Midterm Strategies:




  • 23-25 Midterm Parts, Service, & Technical Business Unit Strategic Direction:

    • Achieve Industry leading Customer Satisfaction by quickly understanding and responding to customer needs. (Level 1 Business Plan Objective)
    • Strengthen Product Quality Reputation in order to meet Customer Expectations. (Level 2 Business Plan Objective)



Key Accountabilities

Lead Unit Operations which produce required business results related to the following objectives and strategies while using key performance indicators.




  • Improve the quality and accuracy of all data information obtained from the market.
  • Work with the creators/owners of market information used to identify market quality issues and establish business flows and operating procedures that can be rapidly used utilized in QIS and reporting activity.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholder organizations in order to improve the accuracy of information such as FQR/Tech Line/CR
  • Educate and coach field associates, dealers, CR, and TL staff in order to provide improved vehicle quality data flow.
  • Conceptualize and define requirements while working with developers to design long-term sustainable systems and method improvements to advance data analysis capabilities.



Support and Enhance QIS Investigation and Support Activity.




  • Collect necessary parts and data from the market and arrange scramble activities for QIS cases and investigations that require information, analysis, or first-hand confirmation.
  • Develop measures that strengthen the DVR process. Increase fast DVR response timing.



Telematics Data Management




  • Collaborate with CASE Business Unit and other SEDBQ stakeholders in order to improve and strengthen the acquisition and utilization of telematics data from vehicles in the market.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • BS in Engineering, Data Analytics, or equivalent work experience
  • 7-10 years in parts, service or technical business functions with understanding of market level processes
  • Understanding of automotive business structure with specific expertise in quality management or market related vehicle problems
  • 5-7 years of experience at a management level
  • Knowledge of the global Honda market quality improvement structure, processes, and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of Honda/Acura dealer operations and vehicle repair processes
  • Knowledge of advanced automobile systems
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory issues that pertain to automobile business
  • Knowledge of ACS, Field, and Dealer Operations
  • Advance project management skills
  • Strong collaboration, communication, technical, and negotiation skills
  • Strong people management and development skills

Working Conditions

  • Clean driving record with a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to work in excess of 40 hours on a regular basis
