Associate Category Manager

Job Duties:

As an Associate Category Manager you will support the wholesale purchasing team in the procurement of merchandise along with implementation and development of pricing and promotion strategies. This position will be trained to use programs, tools, and technology to support the wholesale purchasing team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with purchase order management, including purchase order creation, adjustments, and confirmation
• Assist with implementing or developing systems to capture business operation information
• Assist with evaluating, reviewing, and managing database resources and services across the organization while ensuring high levels of data quality
• Collaborate with data coordinators within the data team
• Assist with entry and management of critical system data and verifying accuracy of the data
• Assist with analyzing, developing, and recommending store by store or companywide pricing structures for specific categories
• Co-management of specific item categories in relation to assortment and promotion strategy
• Use best practices in data analysis to develop actionable insights and recommendations for the current business operations
• Work directly with business stakeholders to identify analytical requirements
• Evaluate reporting requests to produce ad hoc data and standard reports
• Other duties as assigned

• Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies with analytical and problem-solving skills
• General skillset within Microsoft Office 365 platforms
• Communicate ideas in business-centric and user-friendly language to end users.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree
• 2-4 years of retail experience

Location

• This position will be located at the Fareway Corporate Headquarters in Johnston, IA
• This position after the training period has potential for a blend of on-site and remote working
