Summary

This individual will be responsible for driving and promoting the implementation of Novanta Growth System (NGS), by proposing, training, facilitating and tracking the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to achieve company annual objectives.

The CI Specialist will work closely to operations to support the lean transformation roadmap. The CI Specialist would need to possess excellent leadership and project management skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost reduction within Operations.
• Support the planning, facilitation, execution and sustainment of continuous improvement events ("Kaizen Events") with process owners.
• Expand NGS by training and coaching cross-functional teams and individuals on Lean Six Sigma methodology and practices.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor and in transactional processes, collaborating with various functions
• Operate the Continuous Improvement Framework, ensuring effective stakeholder communication and reporting

General Tasks

• Maintain strict compliance with the quality, environmental and occupational health and safety regulations and implementation of the instructions of the quality, environmental management and/or occupational health and safety officer.

Requirements

• 3 years' experience leading continuous improvement events and using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate and influence cross-functionally
• Strong working knowledge of MS Suite including advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated ability to work in high pace, changing environment.

Compensation and Benefits

• The base pay for this position ranges from $68,753 up to $94,536 a year depending on the geographic market.

• Dependent on the position offered, annual bonuses and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package.
