People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking Mental Health Support Specialist Relief Staff to support our Long-Term Residential programs. This is an entry-level position that is responsible for providing scheduling relief within a supportive environment for our clients. Responsibilities include providing person-centered engagement and interventions, medication administration, and providing general program oversight and safety. Schedule: Mornings, evenings, overnights Location: Long-Term Residential programs - Minneapolis, Brooklyn Park, Richfield, Oakdale, Burnsville, Apple Valley, Little Canada, Blaine Hiring Range: $20/Hour Hiring Bonus: $1,000 Hiring bonus to external candidates Schedule Requirements:

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. These essential duties include: * Passing all background and credentialing requirements for facility and position; and * The ability to pass the screening required by Federal Human Services Office of Inspector General to assure that person has not been excluded from working in the Health Care Programs which receive federal funding. * Must have a valid and current driver's license and auto insurance, if applicable. Education and Experience: * GED or High School Diploma * If working in a program that is governed primarily by Group Residential Housing (GRH) guidelines, must be enrolled in a program in the pursuit of a bachelor or Associate of Arts degree in a health or human services field; or * Have one year of experience working within the target population served; or * Experience as a certified peer specialist according to Minnesota Statute section 256B.0615; or * Meets the requirements for unlicensed personnel under Minnesota Statute under sections 144A.43 to 144A.483. * If applicable, prefer experience working with individuals with chemical dependency and have been free from substance abuse for one year.
