Description

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Responsible for all aspects of diagnostic imaging equipment refurbishment, including PET/CT, CT, PET, SPECT, and SPECT/CT systems. Assist with the on-site installation of refurbished equipment at customer locations. Utilize expertise in mechanics, electronics, optics, computers, and medical imaging products to troubleshoot complex issues, define solutions, and complete repairs to ensure exceptional equipment quality prior to delivery to customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

System Refurbishment & Maintenance:



  • Perform comprehensive refurbishment of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring adherence to QA, ISO, and FDA standards.
  • Identify and address failing parts requiring service, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Document all repairs and close project tickets in the company CRM system accurately and promptly.



Warehouse Operations:



  • Assist the warehouse team in receiving and organizing incoming systems.
  • Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  • Manage, prioritize, and schedule work to meet internal and external customer demands effectively.



Field Service Support:



  • Occasionally perform on-site system installations and service, including troubleshooting, repairs, testing, refurbishing, maintenance, and validation.
  • Use technical expertise and independent judgment to evaluate and resolve system issues.



Compliance & Standards:



  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory guidelines, including ISO certification and company standards.
  • Adhere to Quality Management Procedures (QMI) and Work Instructions (WI) per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Maintain performance standards by meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as outlined in the performance plan.



Training & Development:



  • Complete and maintain training and certifications for serviced systems.
  • Engage in continuous training to enhance knowledge of company products and services.



Additional Responsibilities:



  • Support the Finance team by ensuring accurate documentation for billing purposes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.



WORKING CONDITIONS:




  • Work is primarily performed in a warehouse setting, with occasional work at hospitals, clinics, or physician offices.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and drive to facilities in various weather conditions.
  • Position involves 75% warehouse-based work and up to 25% field-based work.



OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE:




  • Work may involve exposure to potentially dangerous materials, requiring safety precautions and protective equipment.
  • Moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, odors, and loud noises.
  • Job duties carry a reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens or infectious materials.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:




  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, or smell.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:



  • Associate or bachelor's Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or equivalent training.



Experience:



  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience with diagnostic imaging equipment.



Skills & Requirements:



  • Proficiency with Cloud IOS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
  • Expert-level experience with standard and metric tools.
  • Valid driver's license required.



Credentials & Clearances:



  • Completion and favorable results of a Background Investigation, Drug Screen, and physical with lift test as a condition of employment.



Training Requirements:



  • Completion of compliance training upon hire and annually thereafter, including OSHA, HIPAA, radiation safety, sexual harassment prevention, defensive driving, incident reporting, ISO, and OEM-related training.
  • Ongoing training to stay current on company products and services.
