Your Role With Us: As an Insurance AR Specialist for Hospital Billing at Salem Health, your role will involve resolving moderate to complex claim errors before submission to payers, ensuring that all claims are submitted accurately and promptly to maximize reimbursement. You will manage moderate to complex denials by investigating and addressing issues in a detail-oriented and timely manner. Your advanced industry knowledge and problem-solving skills will be essential in identifying and analyzing variances between expected and actual reimbursement, as well as staying up-to-date with payer contractual agreements. You will communicate directly with payers to follow up on outstanding claims, resolve payment discrepancies, and ensure timely reimbursement. In collaboration with leadership, you will analyze trends, identify root causes of claim edits and denials, and contribute to strategies for reducing accounts receivable. A strong understanding of federal and state regulations, as well as payer-specific requirements, will be crucial for identifying billing compliance issues and payer discrepancies. Additionally, you may be tasked with other duties as assigned, all aimed at maintaining efficiency and maximizing reimbursement for the organization.
