Description Hourly Rate: Starting at $22.59 DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY To operate machining tools to fabricate metal parts and components that meet precise specifications RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES Operate Manual Milling Machines, Lathes, CNC Machining Centers, and other machines Fabricate and modify parts to print specification Review drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping new weldments and modifying existing ones Assemble prototypes to blueprint or drawing specifications Select appropriate machine and settings for each task Inspect finished parts and components for flaws or defects Cross train in other functions of the Machine Shop as necessary Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary REQUIRED SKILLS Must be a team player, friendly, detail-oriented, and honest Must have the ability to: Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment Work within tolerance as specified by drawings, prints or verbal instruction Work with precision tools and measuring devices including micrometers, calipers, and height gages Read and comprehend work instructions and prints Use hand tools and standard power tools Set up and operate milling machines, lathes, grinders, press brakes, shears, and drill presses Be cross trained for multiple jobs within assigned work area(s) Lift/push/pull 50lbs Must have: Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods Excellent math skills Good verbal and written communication skills Basic knowledge of tooling speeds and feeds for properly machining work Basic knowledge of machine performance and maintenance PREFERRED SKILLS Basic knowledge of programming CNC Machining Centers both visually and offline preferred Basic knowledge and understanding of TIG and MIG Welding preferred REQUIRED EXPERIENCE At least 3 years of experience as a machinist operating machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, press brakes, shears, and/or drill presses At least 2 years of experience performing CNC Operations PREFERRED EXPERIENCE At least 5 years as a machinist operating machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, press brakes, shears, and drill presses preferred At least 3 years of welding experience including the use of MIG, TIG, and aluminum preferred At least 3 years of experience with CAD or 3D Modeling design preferred At least 3 years of experience programming CNC Machines preferred Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred REQUIRED EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED Technical school training related to machining PREFERRED EDUCATION Technical school training in CNC programming preferred REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future DETAILS This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive This is a safety sensitive position In exceptional circumstances, some of the physical requirements of this position may be modified or eliminated as a reasonable accommodation for a person with a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act Pride Mobility Products/Quantum Rehab is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
