Hours: The contract includes multiple assignments that will be assigned within individual Work Order Agreements (WOAs). Multiple assignments ranging from 1-40 days over 6-12 months.

Location: The role can be performed remotely in the US or from HQ in Chevy, Chase, MD.

URC is searching for an experienced Business Development (BD) Consultant who is available for multiple short-term assignments over the course of six to twelve months. Specific assignments under the consultancy will be administered under individual Work Order Agreements (WOAs). The number of assignments is not guaranteed. RESPONSIBILITIES URC is seeking consultancy services to support capture, business development and strategic planning in new technical and geographic areas. The consultancy will aim to identify opportunities for future programming and enhance the organization's capacity in specialized domains.
The specific Scope of Work will be issued after a candidate has been chosen, however, general assignments could include:
- Conduct targeted research and capacity analysis.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders for information gathering.
- Provide actionable recommendations on expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and staff to write, review, and finalize business development documents.
- Deliver a high-level briefing or workshop to leadership.
- Facilitate ongoing advisory and project management support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least 8 years of Business Development Experience for international donor-funded programing.
- Outstanding inter-personal skills and attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and finalizing corporate documents.
- Ability to write and provide copy edits in English.
- Ability to draft corporate communications in English.
- Previous experience with US Government funding.
