We are seeking a Risk Reporting Analyst for Marcus US Deposits within the Asset Wealth Management Division. This role is part of Marcus Deposit's first line of defense Business Controls team, and will manage a team to provide risk and controls reporting for business and Board risk reporting.

Marcus US Deposits Business Controls is a first-line risk and controls management function which ensures process and controls design, controls assessment, issues management, controls monitoring and testing, risk reporting and governance.

Our primary objective is to elevate our controls environment to enable growth and scalability of the business in a well-managed way. It is a critical function to mitigate risk within Marcus US Deposits and Goldman Sachs as a whole. This function collaborates strongly with other functions in Business Controls to ensure proactive risk assessment, control design and enhancement. We are looking for people with strong analytical and quantitative backgrounds and a strong interest in financial services. We seek bright and dynamic individuals with a quantitative orientation, basic financial acumen, and fluency with risk and controls.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As part of the broader Business Controls team, the Risk Reporting Analyst focuses on the assessing, designing and executing risk reporting requirements across various first- and second-line stakeholders

ROLE REQUIREMENTS



  • Develop and execute suitable Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Control Indicators (KCIs) to provide risk insights to senior leadership.
  • Execute risk profile reporting to inform stakeholders about key business risks and control effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for intake and to review reporting outcomes.
  • Streamline reporting through automation of data sourcing, aggregation and reporting output.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to infuse a culture of risk awareness and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to Business Controls initiatives by providing expertise and thought leadership.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Operational Risk, Compliance, Controls or Audit functions in the financial services industry.
  • Understanding of Consumer banking processes in a risk management context are required
  • Exposure to qualitative and quantitative controls across financial products.
  • Strong analytical orientation, lateral thinking, organizational, influencing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform data analytics using metrics to identify trends and themes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and navigate complex organizational structure.
  • Good influencing skills to challenge the status quo and enhance the control environment
  • Sound time management skills to be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
  • A mentor / coach to the juniors in the team
  • Track record of delivering and enhancing measurable, impactful business outcomes


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • 1-3 years banking experience, specifically in operational risk, compliance, internal audit or corporate governance
  • Working knowledge of financial, operational, compliance, and reputation risks
  • Experience aggregating and analyzing various types of risks and data with output to dashboards and/or formal written assessments
  • Experience with Tableau or other reporting/ data analytics tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, SQL etc.
