JOB SUMMARY

Coterra is hiring an Engineering Technician in the Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma. As an Engineering Technician you are responsible for performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of engineering and field staff of the company. Your duties may include functions such as loading/entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing and reporting data. Initial priority will be supporting the rollout of Maximo, the company's new enterprise asset and work management software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Corporate Site Administrator to develop and maintain the Maximo system architecture to establish and enforce standards for data entry and integrity

  • Develop and implement data entry standards for locations, assets, spare parts, and naming conventions

  • Add, enhance, and modify existing data, including location hierarchies, assets, PMs, and other data to ensure consistency across all disciplines participating in the program

  • Manage data uploads and updates using various software tools; understanding of SQL scripts is helpful but not required

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of end-to-end data flows and identify data dependencies in support of delivery, release, and change management processes

  • Assisting/troubleshooting issues raised by users

  • Drive the adoption and effective rollout of mobile functionality, updates, and releases

  • Partner with Corporate Site Administrator to manage and deliver application training and user certification programs

  • Develop and update training materials to reflect evolving maintenance processes and best practices

  • Assists engineering professionals with acquisition and preparation of hard copy or digital data

  • Gathers technical data for manipulation and analysis projects

  • Assists engineering professionals with various research and analytical projects

  • Other tasks as assigned

Job requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

  • Working knowledge of oil and gas software (Aries, SQL, Oracle, P2, SCADA, Spotfire, GIS, etc.)

  • Clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing

  • Skilled at building and maintaining professional relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Focused on accuracy while managing multiple tasks efficiently

  • Flexible and collaborative, thrives in changing and evolving work settings

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum: 2 Year / Associate Degree

  • Combination of Industry experience and education may substitute as equivalent for degree

  • Preferred: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Technical discipline.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience associated with upstream Oil & Gas Operations

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Less than 5% Travel may be required for mandatory meetings or training.
