OPPORTUNITY EI is hiring a Water Program Associate to join our Southern California team. This is a great opportunity for a mission-driven individual who is interested in water resources, environment, and/or climate programming and wants to address critical water issues in California.
PURPOSE AND NEED You will primarily support our work in San Diego and Orange County to implement innovative residential and commercial incentive programs that are significantly improving regional water supply sustainability and water quality. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the public, property owners, and supply chain stakeholders using excellent 1:1 communication and public speaking skills to convince and assist property owners to make sustainable upgrades to their properties with some financial help. You'll manage and improve program trackers and tools that support a pipeline of projects and incentive payment processing. Finally, you'll have exposure to several of our water quality and efficiency clients and partners with project coordination responsibilities. This position is the first step on our professional track, providing support to staff who deliver written products and facilitate meetings for clients. Through this position, the Program Associate will have the opportunity to learn and apply their expertise in program coordination to achieve Environmental Incentives' purpose. This position is based in San Diego, CA, in EI's Encinitas office. BASE STATION This position will be based in our San Diego office (located in Encinitas). Environmental Incentives is implementing a hybrid work model in which employees will be required to work in the office approximately two days per week.
