GEN CLERK I I NGS DRIVER II About the Role: As a General Clerk II Driver II, you will play a crucial role in providing clerical support and transportation services for our organization. This position requires a combination of administrative duties and driving responsibilities, ensuring the efficient operation of our office and timely delivery of goods or materials to designated locations. Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, filing, photocopying, and scanning documents, to support the administrative needs of the organization.
- Safely operate company vehicles, such as vans or trucks, to transport materials, supplies, equipment, or personnel to and from designated locations, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo or merchandise from vehicles, ensuring that items are properly secured and handled to prevent damage during transit.
- Plan efficient routes and schedules for deliveries or pickups based on destination, priority, and traffic conditions, optimizing time and resources to meet delivery deadlines.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, safety hazards, or damage before and after each trip, reporting any concerns or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities, documenting trips, expenses, and incidents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving, storing, and organizing materials or supplies in designated storage areas, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling of items.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, vendors, or other stakeholders during deliveries or pickups, addressing inquiries, concerns, or special requests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support special projects, events, or initiatives, providing assistance, transportation, or logistical support as needed to achieve project objectives.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety awareness and risk mitigation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clerical or driving role, performing tasks such as data entry, filing, document management, or delivery services.
- Familiarity with local traffic laws, routes, and geography, with the ability to navigate efficiently and plan effective transportation routes.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods, as well as perform repetitive tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, as needed to accommodate delivery schedules or operational demands.
- Commitment to safety, with knowledge of defensive driving techniques, vehicle maintenance, and emergency procedures to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
"The pay range for this position starts at $18.28; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered."
