Job Title: Human Resource Analyst (Recruiting/Onboarding)

Location: 1 Capitol Hill Providence, RI, 02908

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: $30.00/hr. on w2 without benefits

Hours/Week: 35 Hours

Role & Responsibilities:

  • The Human Resources Analyst works within the Talent Management Unit (TMU) that is responsible for the full scope of Human Resources processes to attract, develop, motivate, and retain a high-performing workforce for the state. The incumbent provides oversight and assistance on all talent management initiatives as well as a broad range of human resources services for the unit, including the strategic deployment of HR resources to help reach unit objectives.
  • The person in this role should have experience in recruiting, onboarding, and the ability to process all personnel transactions in a timely manner. In addition, he/she will monitor vacancies, post agency vacancies for the department; coordinate all phases of the individual recruitment processes, including onboarding and orientation of all new employees; ensure the creation and processing all personnel actions for all agency employees including step increases, transfers, leaves, and terminations; assists with benefits and leave inquiries, and completes required and requested reports.
  • This position performs necessary HR services in the Talent Management Unit within the Division of Human Resources and is responsible for the recruitment activities for the Department of Environmental Management, which includes an annual seasonal program that supports the direct services and programs provided by the Department of Environmental Management statewide. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills; advanced technological skills as well as the ability to quickly adapt to new technology; and the ability to operate independently and efficiently as well as serving as a contributing member of a team. In addition, he/she must be able to maintain the utmost level of confidentiality; to prioritize appropriate; to demonstrate sound judgment and decision making; and complete deliverables in a timely manner.


Required Education:

  • The ideal candidate for this position will possess an associate degree with specialization in human resources management or a closely related field


Required Experience:

  • Three+ years of experience in a talent management or human resources generalist role.
