Responsibilities

The Sponsor provides risk and opportunities guidance on emerging technologies and gathers business insights on products. The Sponsor leverages technology, combined with subject matter expertise, to conduct these activities. The Sponsor is seeking an experienced PM/SOO with excellent communication, technology understanding, and risk management skills to assist with the Group's mission.

The PM/SOO will work directly with senior managers in the group and assist with developing briefings and reports so that they successfully execute its mission objectives.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct due diligence for all investments and work program additions.
    • Explore target factors utilizing FOCI information and a summary of open-source queries.
    • Research multiple data sources to retrieve relevant data.
    • As needed request the corporate vetting cell provide additional target specific research.
    • Dialogue with the external contractor's security to adjust to changing deal-flow and shifting priorities.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain acquisition organization for assessments to understand identifiable target concerns.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations and agencies on all due diligence efforts.
  • Coordinate across organizations to better understand the acquisition's unique objectives, deliverables, scope of work, and requirements to build a tailored analysis.
  • Participate in discussions regarding potential public disclosures of portfolio companies.
  • Collaborate with contractors (at their location) on all security issues, processes, and visits.
  • Manage the security process, workflow, ensuring stoppages and issues are minimized and addressed.
  • Support all coordination on cables.
  • Manage the security review and collaborate/coordinate with multiple organizations on all domestic deals and de-conflictions.

Qualifications

  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to independently manage, follow through, and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ten or more years of project management experience with managing scope, schedule, and requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work closely and collegiately with multiple organizations.
  • Proven ability to execute forward momentum with ambiguous directions.
  • Ability to foster and facilitate strategic partnerships across organizational boundaries to positively impact mission delivery.
  • Understanding of the venture capital marketplace and workflow.
  • Proficiency using USG platforms and tools including cabling, targeting, and analyst systems.
  • Ability to use MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience supporting the Sponsor's emerging technology mission.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other Project Management certification.
