General Information:

We are seeking an experienced Factory IT Specialistto lead our technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Power BI, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills. This role is vital in ensuring that our IT infrastructure supports the operational needs of the organization and drives continuous improvement through data analysis and reporting.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the local Subject Matter expert for the MES systems and support the end users with training and minor issue resolution
  • Maintain local training documentation for the local MES implementation and reporting solutions
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the factory and the various support teams to ensure prompt resolution of system issues
  • Work with the local team on end-to-end process definition in the MES space and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage the development and deployment of Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for digitalization and automation //technology needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to MES and data analytics.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus on MES and Power BI.
  • Proven experience in managing MES systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, report creation, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with other data visualization tools and data analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
