Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Systems Administrator / IT Security Support Specialist to join our small but highly empowered team in Chantilly, VA. You will provide System Administration and Accreditation support in a classified cloud environment. This position requires a TS/SCI Clearance with a current CI Polygraph to start.

Responsibilities

As a Systems Administrator / IT Security Support Specialist with MTSI you will focus on System Administration and Accreditation support projects in a classified cloud environment. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA. This position requires a TS/SCI Clearance with a current CI Polygraph to start.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • You will provide full life cycle RMF based Accreditation support.
  • Configuring/use of customer mandated enterprise solutions (e.g. Compliance, Virus, Vulnerability, Audit, etc.).
  • Continuous Monitoring of accredited assets.
  • RHEL/Amazon Linux/MS Windows Operating System hardening (i.e. STIG)/operation, supporting migration to newly required OS versions (e.g. RHEL 9/MS Server 2022).

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant years of experience.
  • Experience working with Linux-based servers and systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • This position requires a TS/SCI Clearance with a current CI Polygraph to start.

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3).
  • Experience with containerizing applications using Docker and deploying them to a container orchestration platform (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Accumulo, Hbase, GeoMesa, or Databricks.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka.
  • Experience with GeoServer or Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Helm, Harbor, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

Education Requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Security, or related feild of study.

Certifications Requirements:

  • DoD 8570 IAT level 3 (CompTIA Security+) compliant.
  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional), DESIRED.

Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Polygraph to start.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
