This position serves as the primary Vehicle Account Representative for Cornell University. Under supervision from the ECSC Fleet Manager, serve as the primary contact for vehicle procurement and disposition; including pricing, CATS posting, web site posting and /or auction sites. Negotiate sale price with customers for approval and coordinate disposition. Responsible for all vehicle related documents, registrations, titles, DMV forms, warranties and other sale disposition documents. Reviews and researches all toll charges for Cornell University owned vehicles and notifies the responsible party. Verifies that payments are collected before closing cases.

Serve as back-up support for Cornell Clients with reservations for Fleet vehicles within the Agile system. Serve as the primary contact and coordinator for vehicle rentals, receive and handle reservation requests, issue and assign fuel cards for use at off-site locations and pro keys for use at the University Fuel Complex.

Assist with process improvement efforts and business analysis for University owned fleets to ensure waste of resources are mitigated and level of service is high. Participate in sustainability efforts in Fleet Management including evaluation for electrifying and greening the fleet, reducing fleet inventory where possible and increasing efficiencies.

Prepare reports, spreadsheets, graphs, and presentations. Collect data and prepare reports identifying obvious trends. Exercise resourcefulness and preparedness by researching answers to questions autonomously.

This is an Endowed position.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Associate's degree with at least 2 years of administrative support experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires ability to work in a highly professional manner and handle situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Attention to detail is very important, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and quickly change direction and re-prioritize.
  • Strong organizational skills are required.

  • Experience processing vehicle related documents, registrations, titles, DMV forms, warranties and other sale disposition documents.
