TWO OPENINGS:

1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, occasional weekends

2nd Shift: 6:00 p.m. - 2:30 a.m. Sunday - Thursday, occasional Fri/Sat

JOB MISSION:

Oversee multiple departments and supervisors within a distribution operation and ensuring your teams meet safety, quality, and cost goals. Along with creating strategic objectives and initiatives that will drive operational improvements. Embody New Balance's Core Values of Teamwork, Integrity, and Total Customer Satisfaction.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Complete forecast analysis to provide labor needs to supervisors.

  • Work with other internal departments (e.g., Account Services, Customer Service and Development group) to resolve operational problems.

  • Coordinate the daily plan with DC Supervisors.

  • Works with Supervisory group to maximize DC throughput and productivity.

  • Ensure that safety, productivity, and continuous improvement programs are established and followed.

  • Maintain and distribute reports on DC metrics.

  • Manage process improvement projects. Review project proposal or plan to determine the time frame and procedures needed for accomplishing the project, including the requested resources and limitations to completing the project as planned.

  • Interview, hire and terminate in coordination with Human Resources and according to company policies.

  • Train, assist and remove barriers that may block associates from reaching the company. goals.Interact and coordinate activities with other groups within the company.

  • Track employee hours, discipline, and time off via Workday.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • Ability to create mid-term (6-12 months) strategies and objectives to improve operations.

  • Strong planning, organization, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively and efficiently verbally and in writing are required.

  • Thorough knowledge of distribution activities and systems, including WMS. Experience with Manhattan WMS is a plus.

  • Understanding of Lean Principles - lean processes, 6S, standard work and process audits is preferred.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities is essential.

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 10 years of DC experience at a lead level or higher, preferred.

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing. (Spanish bilingual preferred).

  • Proven track record of stability and dependability in the workplace.

  • Ability to use RF scanner or WMS workstation.

  • Able to operate lift equipment, as assigned.

  • Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

  • Able to push/pull up to 75 lbs.

Flexible Work Schedule

For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
