This team works closely with leadership and teams across Microsoft to drive progress towards its sustainability commitments and Microsoft's impact investments, which includes the Climate Innovation Fund, Affordable Housing Fund, and Racial Equity Fund. Microsoft has committed to be a carbon negative, water positive, zero waste company that protects ecosystems-all by 2030. This role is highly focused on achieving these sustainability commitments by driving and partnering on Microsoft's internal financial strategies. The Senior Sustainability Finance Manager will partner with several stakeholders including Environmental Sustainability, business groups & their finance partners, Corporate Accounting, Tax, and Treasury as well as external advisers and companies.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and consult on multi-year investment and financial models; recommend high impact strategies to ensure sustainable long-term financial decisionsPartner with finance partners, engineering, and supply chain to support and build an aligned cross-company cost efficiency plans, establishing committed Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), understanding product and sustainability implications, and providing periodic progress updatesConduct financial analysis and provide deep business insights into the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Operational Expenses (OPEX), and Capital Expense (CAPEX) performance and attainment of sustainability outcomesDevelop and drive consistent Return on Investment (ROI) framework across company for proposed cost efficiency investments for sustainabilityProvide key insights on business and sustainability health trends across inter-organizational finance and engineering leadership teams for effective decision making
